NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZERS FROM AREA DONATE SERVICES Local Professional Organizers, members of The National Association of Professional Organizers, are taking the opportunity to educate the public on the benefits of getting organized and of hiring a NAPO Professional Organizer. The group of 17 began meeting last summer, and are currently taking the steps to form a local Chapter. This is their first project of this kind, and they are enthusiastic about making it a tradition. Providence House in Cleveland was selected to receive free organizing services. Providence House is Ohio’s first and only 26 bed residential Crisis Nursery. They provide immediate placement solutions for babies and children from newborn until age 5 that are at risk of abuse and neglect. “We feel this is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, and promote our industry,” explains A J Pfander of Organize & Simplify of Avon, who is spearheading the local event. “This is an organization that receives many donations of clothes, furniture, and office supplies to support their mission. The time they spend organizing focuses on these goods and the services they provide to further their mission. Our combined expertise will assist them in streamlining their administrative supply areas. We will also be able to offer them unique storage ideas and tips to maintain an efficient system in the future.” On April 5th local NAPO members will meet at Providence House to provide the actual hands on organizing. Leading up to that event, they are collecting donations from their customers that match the Providence House Wish List. Area businesses have also been contacted to supplement these donations. Muffy Kaesberg of Organizing 4 U in Cleveland Heights says there are many benefits to both individuals and businesses from becoming more organized. “These benefits include savings of time and money, higher productivity and reduced stress. All of these benefits lead to a higher quality of life overall. I am happy we are able to contribute our time to Providence House. Organizations that rely on donations and volunteers are often the least able to pay for services that will help them help others in need.” NAPO is celebrating 20 years as The Organizing Authority, and boasts 3,300 members nationwide.
